Micro Needling

What is Micro-Needling?

Micro-Needling is one of the hottest skin rejuvenation and anti aging treatments available on the market today. The treatment is a Collagen Induction Therapy, a minimally invasive skin-rejuvenation procedure that involves puncturing the skin with tiny, sterile micro needles in order to promote the production of collagen and elastin in the skin.

Micro-Needling is designed to stimulate your skin’s natural ability to produce new collagen formation creating smoother, tighter, and overall healthier skin with a younger looking appearance as well as diminishing skin imperfections. Micro-Needling is an effective treatment to improve the appearance of acne scars, hyperpigmentation, stretch marks, skin texture, fine lines, wrinkles and more.

What can be treated by Micro-Needling?

Skin Texture & Scarring

Micro-needling is highly effective for treating surgery scars, uneven skin and texture, enlarged pores, chicken pox scars, burn scars, ice pick scars, appendectomy scars (appendix scar), burn scars, surgical scars, caesarian section (C-section) scars, breast enlargement scars, tummy tuck scarring treatment, and even wound scars.

Stretch Marks

The process of reducing stretch marks or treating stretch marks occurs as Micro-Needling causes the production of new elastin and collagen fibers in the skin. The stretch marks gradually fill in, the skin grows thicker, becomes tighter, and elasticity is restored.

The speed at which stretch marks reduction can be achieved varies depending on the severity of the stretch marks, but visible changes can be detected in as little as a week with dramatic results in a month or less.

Hair Loss

Limiting hair loss and baldness is an area which a lot of people ask about. In recent studies, over a 3 month period, men who used Micro-Needling experienced a significant increase in hair growth in addition to an average of 80 percent reduction in hair loss.

The hair restoration and regrowth process has been shown to aid thinning hair, balding, bald spots, receding hairlines, alopecia and more conditions.

Fine Lines & Deep Wrinkles

Micro-Needling can be used to reduce sagging skin, deep wrinkles, fine wrinkles, skin lines and creases such as laughter lines, crow’s feet, smile lines, wrinkles on the forehead or scowl lines, creases around the mouth or lips – such as smoker’s mouth, on the neck and jaw line (including jowl lines), the chest (dècolletè), the backs of the hands and more.

Acne Scar Reduction

Micro-Needling is one of the most effective treatments for acne scar reduction. The procedure can be used to clear mild acne scars such as brownish and reddish marks that are left behind after a pimple and even severe acne scar types – boxcar scars, ice pick scars, and rolling scars.

How does Micro-Needling work?

The concept of micro-needling is based upon the skin’s ability to naturally repair itself when injured. Immediately following an injury, our skin begins the process of dissolving tissue damage and replacing it with new cells. Micro-needling allows for controlled induction of the skin’s self-repair process by creating precise, micro-injuries in the skin, which automatically trigger new collagen synthesis without causing scar tissue formation. The repair process of your skin is accelerated by Micro-Needling through the creation of microscopic channels, which also allow products to penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin resulting in better and faster results.

Prior to starting the Micro-Needling treatment, we apply Hyaluronic Acid onto the skin, which is naturally produced in the human body, to accelerate the growth of collagen. Collagen is critical to the skin because it supports skin structure. As body collagen declines, the appearance of wrinkles and discoloration become more visible. Maximizing collagen levels will keep skin supple. Hyaluronic acid keeps collagen synthesis up, as well as retaining skin moisture, contributing to the anti-aging benefits to the skin.
