  • Straight jaw jut

To do this exercise, tilt the head back and look toward the ceiling and push your lower jaw forward until you feel a stretch under the chin. Hold this position for ten seconds and then relax the jaw and return the head to a neutral position.

  • Pucker up

To do this exercise, tilt your head back and look at the ceiling. Next, pucker the lips as if you are kissing the ceiling, which will stretch the area under the chin.

  • Ball exercise

For this exercise, place a small ball under the chin. An ideal size for the ball is around nine to ten inches. Next, press your chin down against the ball and repeat up to 25 times.

  • Neck stretch

To do a neck stretch, tilt the head back and look at the ceiling. Next, press the tongue against the roof of the mouth and hold for 5-10 seconds.

  • Tongue stretch

A tongue stretch is exactly what it sounds like. For this exercise, you will look ahead and stick your tongue out as far as it will go. Next, lift your tongue upward and toward the nose. Hold this position for up to ten seconds before releasing.

  • Bottom jaw jut

To do a bottom jaw cut, tilt the head back and look at the ceiling. Next, turn your head to the right and slide the bottom jaw forward. Hold this position for up to 10 seconds before releasing and repeating.

  • Touch your nose

Because a double chin is associated with weak hyoid muscles, strengthening them can make a big difference. The hyoid muscles are a group of four muscles superior to the hyoid bone of the neck. To strengthen this, you can try to reach your nose with your tongue and repeat this movement five times.

In addition to these exercises, there are some changes you can make in your diet that can help reduce the appearance of fat under your neck. Cutting out processed foods is one of the best ways to do this. When we think about processed foods, we are referring to refined grains, chips, baked goods, and other fried foods. Cutting out these foods for fresh fruits, lean meats, and vegetables can help cut back on overall calories consumed throughout the day and actually keep hunger pangs at bay through high fiber and protein.
