How Laser Treatments Work
Taken as a whole, laser treatments work in one of two ways. For hair and vein removal, the purpose is to target areas extremely precisely and eliminate the hair follicle or spider vein with heat from the focused photons. Laser resurfacing and skin tightening, on the other hand, are used over somewhat broader areas, and the lasers work on a similar principle to micro-needling—very slight, controlled heat is used to stimulate the body to produce collagen and encourage accelerated cell growth.
